David Friedman
Obituary

David Friedman passed away on May 31, 2025, in Huntington Beach, California. He was born on August 23, 1959, in Brooklyn, New York.

David had a passion for travel, world affairs, reading, history, fine dining, music, and above all, his family.

He worked for the City of Long Beach, California.

He was known for being smart, funny, chatty, with a somewhat eccentric sense of humor.

Among his proudest accomplishments were winning essay contests that allowed him to travel to Washington D.C., graduating from UCLA, and traveling to many countries, especially enjoying cruises.

He spent seven years on kidney dialysis before receiving a kidney transplant in November 2024. He was recovering and remained hopeful to live life fully, travel again, and spend more time with family.

David is survived by his two sisters and his nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Friedman, and his mother, Florence Friedman.

There are no services at this time. A memorial will be held in Lake Tahoe, California, at a later date.
