With great sorrow and deep love, we share the passing of Marcos Cabrales, who left us far too soon on May 8, 2025, in Los Angeles, California—the very city where he was born on October 30, 1980.
Marcos was more than a son or brother; he was the glue that held so many memories and moments together. A beloved husband, a proud and caring uncle, a loyal friend, and a dependable brother, he lived his life with laughter in his voice and kindness in his heart.
He had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor that could brighten even the hardest days, and his love for good food was matched only by his gift in the kitchen. Marcos was a true foodie and an amazing cook—someone who made meals feel like events and gatherings feel like home. Whether it was a holiday feast or a Sunday dinner, his dishes were made with love and shared with joy.
A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, Marcos wore his team colors proudly, no matter the season. His playful spirit, especially when cheering on his favorite team or challenging someone to a friendly game of Monopoly (which he almost always won), was infectious and unforgettable.
He worked in security, a profession that reflected his strong, protective nature. But it was the way he showed up for his family—especially his nieces and nephews—that defined him most. He wasn’t just an uncle—he was their hero, their chef, their storyteller, their biggest cheerleader.
Marcos leaves behind a circle of family and friends who will miss him dearly and remember him always. He is survived by those who loved him deeply, and preceded in death by loved ones who now greet him with open arms.
“Marcos, may your soul find peace and tranquility, and may your new journey be filled with happiness and unconditional true love. You will remain forever in my heart, Brother.” – Sarahi
Marcos Cabrales—our Monopoly champion, our favorite cook, our biggest fan, and one of our brightest lights—will never be forgotten.
