Michelle Lynn Hamm, 55, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her.

Born on October 12, 1969, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Michelle Powell lived a life full of warmth, strength, and grace. She was known for her deep kindness, her unwavering love for animals, and her remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved.

Michelle dedicated her life to caring for others — both at home and in her career as a nurse. Her compassion, patience, and gentle spirit touched the lives of countless patients, colleagues, friends, and family members.

She was a caring wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, loving aunt, cherished granddaughter, beloved niece, and loyal friend. Michelle never missed a single birthday, always offered a listening ear, and carried the emotional weight of those she loved without ever asking for anything in return. She put her family first, and found joy in life’s little things — often highlighting their beauty so those around her wouldn’t miss them. Her ability to turn everyday moments into powerful memories was one of her many gifts. She was unapologetically herself — radiant, strong, and unforgettable — and her infectious smile lit up every room she entered.

Michelle found peace and happiness in her garden, where she often said each flower reminded her of a cherished memory. She also found great companionship in her beloved dog, River, with whom she spent many joyful days at the dog park, surrounded by friends.

She is survived by her husband, Brian Hamm; children Jeffery Fribourg, Alison Fribourg, and Victor Duran; granddaughter Lauren Duran; mother, Sharon Conners; siblings Dawn Bollen, Jamie Fallis, and Daniel Conners III; nieces and nephews Amanda McQuilliams, Josh and Danielle Fallis, Chance and Matty Bollen, and Daniel Conners IV; and her first husband, Ric Fribourg. She was preceded in death by her father, James Robert Powell, and her stepfather, Daniel Joseph Conners II.

Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 7th, at Burton Chace Park - South Gazebo (13650 Mindanao Way, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292) . All who knew and loved her are warmly invited to attend and share memories.

Though words cannot fully express the depth of our grief, we will carry Michelle’s memory with us always. We will strive to live our lives in a way that honors the love, strength, and light she gave so selflessly and shared so freely.
