Robert Almendra passed away on June 1, 2025, in Alhambra, California, due to complications from a stroke. He was born on March 22, 1947, in Hollywood, California.
Robert had a passion for listening to music and watching old shows. He was known for always thinking of others and would gladly give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He found his greatest joy and pride in his children and grandchildren.
He will be remembered for who he was — thoughtful, loving, and the best dad — often seen walking around, listening to his music on his Walkman.
Robert is survived by his children: Mandy Almendra, Robert Almendra, and Andrew Almendra; and his grandchildren: Alanna Cinat, Benino Laureano Jr., Christian Laureano, Alex Laureano, Brianna Laureano, Dylan Laureano, Aidan Laureano, Harley Almendra, Jackie Chavez, David Herrera, Johnnie Chavez, Jacob Chavez, and Alexis Cinat.
He was preceded in death by his father, Casimiro Almendra; mother, Eleanor Almendra; and daughter, Robin Almendra.
Robert was cremated on June 9, 2025.
